Or you can download mod files from skymods, in the launcher create a new mod so it makes a mod file, inside the mod file which can be found at C:\Users\HP\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod(name of the mod you set it as) in windows drop the mod files exept the descriptor.mod, edit the descriptor.mod file in the zip file you downloaded with notepad++ to see if in the original mod has stuff like replace_path="something" and if there is, than copy all the replace_path="something" texts into the descriptor.mod inside your new mod file, than turn on the mod in the launcher, and enjoy your mod. (it works most of the times but not always, but so far its the best thing I can do)
when I download the new 1.13.1 version I don't get the files like I did with the 1.12 versions but a weird disk thingy that in my pc after a time identifies as a virus, when I open it its just a weird menu, and idk what its for. can someone explain me how does it work or if one day when I download it will I get the usual game files?
am i supposed to open dowser? because even if i do it doesnt let me play it also doesnt let me play when i use HOI4.exe it sys d3dx9_43.dlll is not found any tips?
